Nice piece, it's great to find new photographers and artists that I wasn't aware of.

I think that having restraints and limitations pushes us as creatives to focus more on what matters on our practice. I don't think writers worry too much about how a pen or a key on a keyboard feels if you know what I mean. We photographers are a funny bunch.

That's so true- we are aren't we. lol

I think one reason is simply because the result coming from cameras whether it's film, digital, made of plastic or carbon fiber, whatever it is, it's all the same thing- a replication of reality with four corners. So we try to find any kind of differentiating factor, which is understandable in that sense. There actually isn't much leeway for freedom in terms of the process, compared to other art forms.

Yeah, that's true, we're very limited with the process yet we spend too much time thinking of the tools. Love your writing and photos by the way!

This really resonates with me. Sony appealed to me when choosing a camera system because you’d be spoiled for choice when it comes to glass and you could take that glass with you should you end up going in a different direction for bodies. But often (not always!) I find myself stuck in a decision loop and the work I like most is shot with a Ricoh.

Have you considered recording a podcast? Some existential conversations about photography with photographers? Or even just random talk without much sense. It's just enjoyable to listen to you :)
