The way I edit my photos, sadly, changes from time to time.
When it comes to creating your own signature, or style, it’s safer to stick with one editing methodology. Sadly I’ve altered this over time, and it also is relevant to what camera I use. If the camera produces gritty images, I go for gritty and colorful. If the camera produces beautiful images straight from the camera, I edit towards the surreal/ hyper-realism end.
Today, as I was finding ways to deal with a bunch of old images from my Ricoh, I came up with a way of editing images with Dehancer, using the Portra 800 preset it has. It really reminded me of the film stock and was amazed at how true it looked to the source material.
If you’re interested in this method of editing, you can get Dehancer on a slight discount from this link here. But I’ll say it again— I’m never married to one style and it can change for me over time. But if you want a similar look to these images go ahead.
All images on this article were taken with a Ricoh GR IIIx or a Leica SL2-S

I get a slight kickback from the sales, so if you don’t like that no pressure. However I’ll let you know I’ve used Dehancer for 2.5 years now, and I keep going back to it.
I’ll probably continue to experiment with this film stock emulation.
Let me know if this was helpful- I thought sharing something as I was being excited (the process) might be good for a change. Cheers to everyone.
With Love,

Going to give Dehancer a try, thank you for the code! These images look great.
